From input to response

The official 1.0 notes describe connected interactive props and a 2D graph editor for inputs, outputs and rules. A light switch is a modest first idea; puzzles and enemy encounters are larger possibilities.

Prototype one loop

Write down what starts the interaction, what changes and how a visitor returns it to the initial state. Use one input and one response before adding branches. Check the actual unlocked tools and graph options in your own game.

Review as a visitor

Try the entrance, the intended path and a mistaken input. Make the result readable before decorating around it. These are design suggestions, not a verified wiring recipe, crafting cost or claim that a particular puzzle has been tested.
